The UK is no longer in the EU. What is the process of getting your products?

We manage the export of goods from the UK into Croatia, including logistics and all required export documentation.

Products are manufactured in the UK and shipped through standard freight and customs procedures. Depending on the agreed delivery terms (e.g. DAP or EXW), we can either arrange delivery to your site or supply to your chosen forwarder.

As the importer, you will need an EORI number.

An EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) number is a unique ID used by EU customs authorities to process imports. It is required for customs clearance in Croatia. Most businesses involved in importing goods already have one; if not, it can be obtained through Croatian customs.

A customs broker (špediter) is typically used to handle the import declaration and clearance in Croatia. You can use your existing broker, or we can coordinate with one.

As Proteus products are manufactured in the UK, they qualify as UK-origin goods, meaning no import duty is payable under the UK–EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement, provided the correct origin documentation is in place.

Croatian VAT is still payable on import. This is usually handled by your customs broker and may be recoverable depending on your VAT status.

From your side, the process remains straightforward, we handle the export, and the goods are delivered through established logistics and customs channels.
